For Immediate Release:

San Francisco, California: Gumbo Social will host the Third Annual Bayview Block Party on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in celebration of its second anniversary as a brick-and-mortar restaurant in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood. The event will take place at 5176 3rd Street in the adjacent parking lot at 3rd Street and Thornton Avenue.

The Bayview Block Party is a free, family-friendly event that brings together local businesses, artists, musicians, and community members to highlight the vibrancy of the Bayview neighborhood. This year’s celebration will include a second-line parade led by the Gumbo Band, live music from DJ NiCE 4 LiFE, and custom poetry by Poet-4-Hire.

"Events like the Block Party are so important for the Bayview community. They give people from other neighborhoods a chance to come out, experience a part of the city they might not usually visit, and enjoy everything Bayview has to offer. The food, the culture, the great weather. It’s all about making the neighborhood accessible, easy, and fun. We want to break down the barriers and shine a light on a fantastic business corridor and the up-and-coming food scene here in Bayview." —Dontaye Ball, Chef-Owner of Gumbo Social
