San Francisco, California: Gumbo Social will host the Fourth Annual Bayview Block Party on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in celebration of its third anniversary as a brick-and-mortar restaurant in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood. The event will take place at 5176 3rd Street in the adjacent parking lot at 3rd Street and Thornton Avenue.
The Bayview Block Party is a free, family-friendly event that brings together local businesses, artists, musicians, and community members to celebrate the culture and people of the Bayview neighborhood. This year's event will feature live music performances, local food and merch vendors, and special guests.
“We’re doing this for Bayview first and foremost,” said Dontaye Ball, founder of Gumbo Social. “This is an opportunity to shine a positive light on our community and invite people into a neighborhood that’s sunny, historic, cultural, and full of incredible small businesses. We want folks to come discover a new favorite brunch spot, BBQ spot, or local maker, and experience a part of San Francisco they may not know yet.” “The ethos of gumbo has always been about bringing people together,” Ball said. “This event is a celebration of what we’ve built over the last eight years. We’re bringing together businesses, nonprofits, community partners, elected officials, and neighbors for one joyful day in Bayview.”
Performers & Talent
Gumbo Social had an overwhelming number of talent submissions this year. The Bay Area is full of creativity. We're proud to present our performers for the 2026 Bayview Block Party:
“I want the people making decisions about this neighborhood to actually be here with the community,” Ball added. “Get supervisors out of City Hall and into Bayview. Let them see the people, businesses, and culture their decisions affect.” “As a chef, foodie, food artisan, and fat kid at heart, this is also just an excuse to bring together food I love and share it with everybody else,” Ball said. “There are so many talented food makers and musicians out here hustling, and this event gives them a chance to shine.”
Vendors
This year, 55 vendors have applied to participate, reflecting the growing energy and demand around the event. Vendor selections will be finalized by June 8, 2026. The confirmed vendor lineup will be announced on @gumbosocial and at gumbosocial.com as well as published on the ticketing link.
For $25 folks can purchase Food Tour Tickets to receive 8 food samples from participating Block Party food vendors and Bayview restaurants. Valid only on June 27, 2026.
